'Mainly Motoring' is the brainchild of aspiring automotive journalist and lifelong petrolhead Sam Main; an online blog platform where Sam shares his thoughts on all-things car related, from on-the-road test reviews, to features on the latest motorsport and Formula One news.

From a young age, Sam has maintained a deep passion for the motoring world, his earliest memories being that of watching BBC's Top Gear with his father and being enamored with the extraordinary vehicles being put to the test. It's only fitting that Sam would later go on to develop a keen interest in writing, first in screenplays, now in journalistic articles. Enter 'Mainly Motoring': the culmination of both passions.

Currently, Sam is a regular contributor to 'Straight Six', the official monthly magazine for the United Kingdom's official BMW car club. Sam has also written for the commercially successful 'HotCars' platform, based out in the United States, where he reported on all the latest motoring news and also provided a unique perspective in his reviews of different makes and models.

Sam's automotive likes are straightforward: a Formula One enthusiast through-and-through, a lover of all-things British and German (especially fast Q-cars), a petrolhead who prefers subtle sleepers, and a resident BMW nerd who can't let go of their historic lineup. Witty, articulate, unorthodox; the three tenets that summarise 'Mainly Motoring' and its approach to automotive journalism.
